The giant pecan that sits in front of the Seguin, TX, city hall was the brainchild of a dentist, who wanted to put his plastering skills to civic use. Erected in 1962, the pecan is five feet long and 2 1/2 feet wide, and weighs approximately 1000 pounds.

The park is also a launching point for two kayaking trails situated on different parts of the Guadalupe River.

This is just one street over and within walking distance of the hotel. It is absolutely beautiful at night. The enormous oak trees have twinkling lights throughout the night and well as the fountain.

It is the Heritage Village which features five of the early buildings in Seguin: Los Nogales, Dietz Doll House, Texas' Oldest Protestant Church, Campbell-Hoerman Log Cabin (which is a perfect example of what our first owner, James Campbell's house looked like), and the Calaboose.

It is a beautiful place built and cared for by the St Andrews's Church. They intended to be constantly open to the public and it is stunning, especially at night.
