An established market, of which there is one in each neighborhood, but this one stands out for having several alternatives of South American and Caribbean products, fruits of Colombia, Cuba, and Venezuela. With specialized booths of Japanese products, Yucatecan and other foods of excellent quality although not very low prices, their fruit is great. They offer Comida Corrida food and also small in-house restaurants, cafes, Cuban ice cream, flower stalls and typical Mexican products and adornments. It is surrounded by Colombian and Venezuelan restaurants and is a favorite of those two communities. During the Christmas holidays until Día de Reyes they realize a street market. $$+

Excellent Cuban food, an official branch of the original restaurant in Havana, Cuba. I recommend ordering a couple of dishes to the center to share accompanied by tostones and malanga, try the Moros y Cristianos rice, the fried cow and the ropa vieja meat accompanied by mojitos and end with a Cuban coffee and fried bananas! Dishes are served generously. There are small groups of musicians who rotate around the house playing typical Cuban music. The famous Cohiba cigars are also sold. One of the icons of the city, which became its emblem, the Monument to Independence, is an angel that symbolizes freedom, erected to commemorate the centenary of Independence on 16th September 1910, designed by Architect Antonio Rivas Mercado. As a curious fact, when the monument was inaugurated there were only three steps, the rest is the equivalent of City's sunk from the date of its construction. The model of the effigy was the daughter of the same architect, Antonieta Rivas Mercado, a personage of the time, friend of intellectuals and artists and who enjoys the not very pleasant title of being the only person who has committed suicide at Paris's Notre Dame Church.
