Considered one of the ‘Four Corners of the World’! A ferry ride takes you to a wonderful island with gorgeous hikes including ‘Brimstone Head’ (short but beautiful), ‘Lion’s Den’ (longer trail with views toward long lost family dominated fishing villages), and the oceanfront ‘Great Auk Trail’ with its giant sculptured Auk at the end of the trail! Fogo Island also has picturesque villages like Tilting, Joe Batt’s Arm, and of course Fogo. The Fogo Island Inn and it’s artist studios are modern, architectural icons.

Hikes in nearby Salt Harbour

We have 2 great hikes right around the corner in Salt Harbour: HIKE #1: Has no trail head but is located just to the right hand side of "Evelyn's Saltbox Home" Just sneak between the 2 homes and up the hill for an amazing view on high looking down onto Salt Harbour, Herring Neck, TooGood Arm, and Ship Island with the North Atlantic Ocean surrounding and filling in all of the coves, cliffs, nooks, and crannies. HIKE #2: Callahan Cove Trail seems as though your walking through someones yard as you head into an open field and walk toward a singular white house! Just keep on going toward the sea!
