Frank Lloyd Wright 　自由学園明日館(みょうにちかん)は、1921年（大正10）、羽仁吉一、もと子夫妻が創立した自由学園の校舎として、アメリカが生んだ巨匠フランク・ロイド・ライトの設計により建設されました。 　明日館建設にあたり羽仁夫妻にライトを推薦したのは遠藤新。帝国ホテル設計のため来日していたライトの助手を勤めていた遠藤は、友人でもある羽仁夫妻をライトに引きあわせました。夫妻の目指す教育理念に共鳴したライトは、「簡素な外形のなかにすぐれた思いを充たしめたい」という夫妻の希いを基調とし、自由学園を設計しました。
