Neighbourhoods

Investigate this little seaside town and you will find a small handful of shops and a lovely long pebble beach. Seaton can be included in the coastal walk. if your feeling energetic it’s situated between Beer and the Undercliff leading to Lyme Regis. Seaton is where you can grab some good fish and chips at Frydays. At the far end of the beach (towards Beer) is Seaton Hole. A more sheltered part of the beach and a good spot for rock pooling.

A pretty seaside town with a wealth of independent shops and eateries. A promenade running alongside the pebble beach and a sandy bay at one end. Recently featured in the film Wonker. Lyme Regis can get pretty busy during peak season. If you want to avoid the hassle and expense of parking in town and don’t mind taking a small stroll, you could park in the Uplyme village hall car park and take the reasonably flat walk along the river into Lyme. The walk starts opposite the Uplyme village hall car park and you end up by the mill in Lyme.

Pretty village with a long pebble beach. Part of the coastal walk with beautiful scenery. In my opinion The Maisons Arm can be a bit hit and miss and unfortunately the Fountain Head has gone down hill. We haven’t tried the Old Bakery since it reopened after Covid but we always enjoyed the soup and cake (limited menu). Do note, the roads leading to Branscombe are very narrow and winding and can experience a lot of congestion during peak season.
