The Irvington Bus Terminal is just a quick 5 minute Uber away. It gets you to NY Port Authority in about 40-60 minutes and is very convenient.

Newark Penn Station is the closest train station to get to NYC and the PATH train runs all night. It’s a 10-15 minute Uber ride from the house and a 20 min ride on the train. From Newark Penn Station, take the NJ Transit train to NY Penn Station for $5.25 or the PATH train to World Trade Center for $2.75
