This is the resort you see when initially driving in to Big Bear on Highway 18. It tends to be less crowded then the more well-known Bear Mountain & Snow Summit

Nightlife

This is the place to be after a long day Skiing or Boating. There are great places to stop in and have an Ice Cold Beer or Cocktail, great cuisine. and plenty of arts and craft stores. Everything is within walking distance of one another, so it's a great place to stroll around.

Great fun for the whole family!

Located in Downtown Big Bear, the Alpine Slides is the place to go if you have kids. Take them on a electrifying bobsled ride down the mountain, make a splash going down the waterslides, or in the winter, go tubing.

This place is my personal favorite for breakfast in Big Bear. No finer waffle has ever been created. It's also located in the Village less than a mile from the cabin.

Déplacements

Take Highway 38 around the lake

If you are looking to beat the traffic going though the hear of Bear, use Highway 38 on the backside of the lake. From the cabin head down to Big Bear Blvd and make a right. In about a mile you should see an Arco gas station on the right. Make a right at that light towards Fawnskin. It's a scenic drive that is less trafficked and will take you back to Higway 18 near the damn. Taking Highway 38 down the mountain is also advisable on busy weekends. It's longer mileage wise, but faster traffic wise.
