Our family likes to bring a blanket, and camp out at the beach for the afternoon, or bring a bottle of wine and enjoy the evening down there.

Lytle Beach (small, secret beach where orcas and ferries pass). There's a picnic table, so could pick up food and head out there. No shade though, and gets hot on hot days...

The Grand Forest is center on the island. It's like our Central Park (except it's a forest). There are a ton of different entrances, and all are beautiful walks.

When it's berry season on the island and our local farm has incredible raspberries. BONUS: there's a winery next to the berry farm. :)
