Amazing vegan grocery store in Chorlton - everything they sell is delicious and probably pretty ethical! Highly recommend their hummus, and my mum's obsessed with their granola.

Amazing (free) museum, focusing on the history of people's rights. Fun, interactive displays (great for kids!) and interesting topics. Their short term exhibits are always brilliant. Nice cafe too.

Really fun museum, lots to see/do/play with. Good for kids. Close to Deansgate/Castlefield so lots of nearby restaurants/bars/cafes. We love The Knott by Deangate tram.

Getting Around

Trams to Altrincham and town. More regular than Sale Water Park as it's on two lines, so you shouldn't need to wait more than 5-10 minutes. Return to town costs around £4.

My favourite local National Trust - there is a nice house and garden, and huge and varied grounds. There is a massive playpark for kids. Main section gets crowded on summer weekends but there is plenty to explore beyond this. Cute cafe with outdoor seating. Costs around £5 for parking if you aren't a National Trust member.
