Food Scene

The best (and my favourite) Italian restaurant only 10minutes walking from our flat. On Trip Advisor.co.uk is Celino's at #8 of 1,848 restaurants in Glasgow, WOW. :-) I highly recommend this place, the food is fantastic and staff is very friendly.

Grillicious is small "take away" bistro just behind the corner from our flat, they have very friendly staff and food is also good. They serve traditional indian, kebab and halal food such a chicken tikka, lamb tikka, chicken kofta kebab, vegetable/mushroom/chicken pakora, onion rings, donner,... They also have a range of pizzas and set meal deals.

Botanic Gardens in Glasgow are really great place to visit, there are lovely greenhouses with all sorts of flowers and plants. There is also a cafeteria, public toilets and rest areas. You can meet there a lot of squirrels and you can feed them (they love a nuts) right out of your hands. :-)

Sightseeing

Glasgow Cathedral, also called the High Kirk of Glasgow or St Kentigern's or St Mungo's Cathedral, is today a gathering of the Church of Scotland in Glasgow. The title cathedral is honorific and historic, dating from the period before the Scottish Reformation and its former status as the Roman Catholic mother church of the Archdiocese of Glasgow and the cathedra of the Archbishop of Glasgow (which is now in St. Andrew's Cathedral, the present mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Glasgow). The current congregation is part of the Church of Scotland's Presbytery of Glasgow. Glasgow Cathedral is located north of High Street and east of Cathedral Street, beside the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
