Watford City has a Catholic Church(Sunday at 10:45am and Sat at 4:00pm),more Lutheran churches, a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (10AM Sunday), Assembly of God (9:15,11:45 Sunday) and Cross Point Church (Wesleyan-10:30 on Sundays). We would be happy to find other local meeting times and locations if you would like!

This is an easy family 1 mile hike from the trailhead to the caves. It's fun to explore. You can get on the Maah Da Hey Trail in a couple of miles from the ice caves.

July 18-21, 2021 is the Pow Wow in Mandaree. It's awesome to see the cultural heritage of the Mandaree Hidatsa locals. Food and craft vendors present as well as dancing and singing and drums. For other powwows in ND, check out https://calendar.powwows.com/events/categories/pow-wows-in-north-dakota/
Mandaree also has McKenzie and Skunk Bays on Lake Sakakawea that are pretty to go see the lake from. Mandaree is one hour north and east of us.

Can do longer loop or break off to the prairie dog town. Both are beautiful views , prairie dog town is family friendly being only 3 miles roundtrip on fairly flat terrain, but no shade.

Here in Grassy Butte, we are on mountain time. From the Little Missouri River north, they are on central time, including the National Park and Watford city. This is helpful to know in planning your activities.
