A delightful day out can be had strolling around the lost gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey. The gardens were created by the tremayne family in the mid 18th century until All the gardeners went off to fight in The Great war (WW1) and none came back alive so the garden was left to be reclaimed by mother nature.
