Ullapool's a really pretty harbour town. It's got an important fishing fleet and the ferry to Stornoway leaves from here. It's got good bookshops, a supermarket, nice cafes and a great fish shop.

Lochinver is a lovely fishing village on the mouth of the River Inver. It's got a great butchers shop. It's the gateway to the beautiful sandy beaches of Assynt.

A beautiful walk up an iconic wee mountain. The carpark is right at the base of the mountain so with no walk in, it's a great summit for children to conquer.
