Lovely spot for lunch or a coffee, when in Abergavenny. Connected to The Angel Hotel and Bakery (both of which are also amazing), it therefore has fantastic bread, cakes, coffee and organic wines. Child friendly with an area for children to draw. Also dog friendly.

Wonderful food by well known chef Stephen Terry. Evening a la carte is quite expensive, so perhaps more for a very special meal… however the set lunch menu and Sunday lunch are really great value and very worthwhile indeed.

You can start the walk up Table Mountain from our house. Find local guidebooks Cracking Walks in the bookcase. Table Mountain is the smallest peak of the mountain range you can see to the right if the house. It can be completed in a morning and is very beautiful. More adventurous walkers can carry on to the next peak, Pen Carreg-Calch.
