Sightseeing

My personal sanctuary. The walk around the headlands is breathtaking. Pockets of stunning scenery with hidden, natural pathways down to Tallebudgera Creek where you can swim with ease and feel like you're on some tropical island. You can also be lucky enough to see a koala.

At the very end of a dreamy, winding (Currumbin Creek) road in the the Currumbin Valley, is this small but special spot of nature's best. Only a short walk to the Cougal Casscades waterfalls, with plenty of watering holes to dip into. At the end of the sealed footpath is piece of history. An old 1940's sawmill. It's the whole package. A visually stunning drive through the valley. An easy walk into nature. A refreshing dip in the pure water. And a bit of the GC's history.

Food scene

A hidden gem. Quaint, boutique vibe with attentive staff and well priced, delicious food. One of my regulars. It's not that far to walk from the cottage. Another advantage.

I've yet to be disappointed with the food and coffee here. Healthy, very tasty food as well those naughty treats you just have to eat once seen! All cooked and baked on the premises. Im hungry just thinking about it!! The only issue is that it's really busy as it's soooo good.

Tucked in a small laneway, just off James Street, is this Japanese gem. Casual, great ambience, whisky galore and good food. An easy place to settle back & dine well for a good price.

on a sunny morning, whether you're heading to or leaving Burleigh beach, have a break at this cafe. It's not just the coffee that's good. it's the ambience. The view. The detail. The cool decor. A great place to watch the Burleigh world go by.

This restaurant should not be as popular as it is. Set just back from the Gold Coast Highway, and on a busy corner. But it is popular for a good reason. The food is so good. And the decor is fun.

The views, the location, the menu, the wine list. There is nothing bad to say about Rick Shores. Make sure you book ahead.
