This was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and was the first place we visited when we moved to Utah. They are often extremely busy but do accept online reservations. Host favorites: Killer Nachos and Tacos don Ramon. Note that they have 2 locations - we prefer #2 due to better parking and a bigger restaurant.

This is a fun place for individuals and families. The kids will enjoy seeing the bison and antelope, while the adults will enjoy the interesting aspects of touring the homestead and hearing the history about the beginning of antelope island in recent history. It also makes a fun place to hike, bike or mountain bike, with views of the lake, the salt lake valley, and the mountains all along the Wasatch front.

This is a trail that is less than 5 miles away from our residence. It is a wonderful hiking and mountain-biking trail. You can take it for about 3.5 miles to elephant rock or go up to Rudy’s flat (6-7 miles). It is well established and not extreme in intensity. You get some nice views of the mountains and Rudy’s flat gets much closer to the spine of the mountains.
