A beautiful spot with paved trails along the river. The forest center also has a small museum with information about the original indigenous people of the area and information about local fauna. They also host free classes for things like mushroom hunting and identification.

A combination of beach on one side, Cape Meares, and a the bayocean spit trailhead. The trailhead starting area does require a day fee. The loop hike is 7.8 miles. The area is a nature photographer paradise. There is also markers that show where the town of Bayocean used to be, before the sea reclaimed it. Cape Meares area does not require a day fee.
