Neighborhoods

Ranchos de Taos is famous for our historic church built in the late 1700's - early 1800's, St. Francis de Assisi Mission church located in our historic plaza. It's been painted and photographed many times over by the likes of Georgia O'Keefe and Ansel Adams. Our neighborhood is minutes away from the plaza on the side of the hill leading to Picuris Peak. There are only a few houses on the road, each with acreage. It's quiet, secluded, but yet only a few minutes from Taos itself.

A favorite place to stop on the way to the Ski Valley for coffee and pastries. Or, if you have more time their menu of breakfast dishes (try the huevos rancheros, christmas-style with both red and green chile) are always organic, fresh, and delicious.

Chef-driven new "New Mexican" cuisine. Always excellent, and a great wine list. Cash only, so be prepared for that.
