Drinks & Nightlife

Our nearest nightclub is in Aviemore; Newtonmore isn't a party town!! (although there is sometimes live music in one of our great local pubs). Taxis available locally, lots of other good bars with a lively atmosphere in Aviemore.

If you want a taste of the West coast but an easy day trip head to Arisaig. Its a lovely drive and head over for lunch at the Arisaig hotel. Head towards Back of Keppoch then turn left to the dead end road with the tiny deserted beaches on it. Views over to the Isles. Carry on up to Mallaig for a longer day out.

Arts & Culture

not really like a museum, kids can run around, mostly open air, lots of historic buildings like schools, blackhouses etc from years gone by recreated and staffed by staff in costumes. Play area. Shop. Cafe. Fascinating for adults too, lots of info about how life used to be in the Highlands.
