Hiking and Mountain biking

Durham forest
Located on the top of the Oak Ridges Moraine, Crow’s Pass Conservation Area (64 hectares) is a favourite destination for the recreational hiker. It offers three kilometres of forest-floor trails, along with a connection to the Oak Ridges Moraine Trail. With close proximity to Chalk Lake, this area is part of a large and relatively unfragmented forested area that has been designated as a Natural Core Area on the Oak Ridges Moraine. The size and diversity of this largely undisturbed space makes it an important core wildlife habitat area with strong east-west natural connectivity along this portion of the Oak Ridges Moraine.
