Bushey is a very green locality with plenty of nice walks - 60 acres of Attenborough Fields, Saint George's Park, Bushey Heath and Cassiobury Park not far away. Bushey has a small high street with shops, post-office, friendly pubs and a variety of restaurants, including up-market Italian Saint James and the excellent Gastro-pub The King Stag.

Watford Town Centre is 15 minutes walk or a short bus/car ride; a great shopping centre with plenty of restaurants including Las Iguanas, Wagamama and The Florist. There's also Watford Palace Theatre and of course Watford Football Club.
