Food scene

We regularly visit the Marlborough Tavern and have always had great food here. It’s not an obvious place to visit, as it’s not in the main thoroughfare of Bath but it’s a great find, just behind the famous Royal Crescent. Super for evening meals.

This place is super for lunch or dinner. Great selection of wine and tapas style dining. You can very much feel like you’re in Paris, just people watching as you sip on a beautiful bottle.

Quite possibly the best steak house you’ll ever eat in! Think Hawksmoor but better. Amazing for dinner…if you can get a reservation!

Hartley Farm shop is far more than just a traditional farm shop - it does epic breakfasts, lunch and wood fired pizzas. If you’re looking for a great place for breakfast whilst you’re with us, Hartleys is the place to go. Just 5 mins from the cottage and a firm favourite of ours at a weekend.

The best and only place to go for Sunday roasts! Just a 10 minute drive from the cottage, the Long Arms does a simply incredible Sunday roast - genuinely the best in a 50 mile radius of us (yes, we really have tried just about every other Sunday roast available in the area, and never found one as good!). It’s pricey but as a treat, very worth it. If you’re staying on a Sunday, we’d highly recommend booking in. Bookings for the Long Arms is essential - they’re incredibly popular and very rarely will allow walk ins.
