Unique Eats - Vegetarian

Located inside a Hare Krishna temple, this gorgeous and unique eatery is worth the drive. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is freshly, made and super delicious with large portions for around $10.00++ per person. It's vegetarian with several vegan options, but even meat eaters rave about the food. Please dress "moderately" (no swimsuits) since it is also a place of worship. Also check out the gift shop which offers lovely bags, clothing, trinkets and incense.

One of the first, 100% vegan restaurants in Deep Ellum/Downtown Dallas. While the atmosphere is fun and funky, the cuisine is nothing short of fabulous. They offer an amazing breakfast menu with coffee, smoothies and pastries as well as extensive lunch and dinner entrees, beer and other adult beverages. RECOMMEND: Vegan chips and queso and BBQ "pork" jackfruit tacos. RECOMMENDATIONS:

The grandmother of vegan dining in the metroplex. They were serving exclusive vegan items before it was "the" thing to do. Now with two locations, but the original on Magnolia is worth the drive.

City/town information

With it's new clock tower design after an original from over 100 years ago, walking down Main Street in Grapevine feels days of old. With fun curio shops, to vintage candys and sodas, to artisans and ice cream, there is something for everyone downtown. The Polar Express Holiday Train books up months in advance, so plan ahead if you have little ones who want to wear their PJ's and drink hot chocolate with the holiday lights. INSIDER TIP: Chez Fabian Happy Hour - all their appetizers are 50% and wine by the glass is super cheap; Classic movies at The Palace Theater (real buttered popcorn!), some with audience participation and live music at Tolbert's.
