Bourton on the water is one of many villages in the Cotswolds to visit. Not too far away and very picturesque, built either side of a shallow river and with plenty of cafes, pubs and gift shops as well as a model village of the village!

Bath is a huge tourist attraction. Full of beautiful buildings and lots of history and of course the Roman Spa and Ancient Abbey. There are some very interesting and quaint shops. The train stops right in the heart of Bath or you can drive to the park and ride just before you get to Bath and the bus will take you to the main hub.

This is a great place for some lovely walks. Especially in the spring with the colourful rhododendron displays and the autumn when the trees are changing. They sometimes have bands playing around June time and Christmas lights on in Dec. You do have to pay to enter the grounds. There is a restaurant and cafe area.

Neighbourhoods

There are plenty of walks from The Stable. Across the fields, down to the river, over to Iron Acton village, you can go for miles. If you need bigger shops/stores then Yate is close by. There is also a cinema there. In the other direction is Cribbs Causeway with a Mall and ice skating nearby. With two pubs and a third in the next road, two coffee shops, individual shops opposite and food shops in walking distance, there is enough to keep you going through the week. The Nook opposite sells all sorts of gifts and soap etc. There are buses ( I'm not sure how regular these are) and the train station at Bristol Parkway or Bristol Temple Meads. We are close to the M32 and M4.
