Déplacements

Richmond is still primarily a car-needed city. However...

In some parts of the city (the Fan, the VCU area, and downtown), we have shared scooters. (https://www.rva.gov/public-works/e-scooter-program), as well as shared bikes. Downtown is catching up on bike lanes. There is GRTC (Greater Richmond Transit) which isn't great, BUT there is one bus called "The Pulse" that allows you to park your car and get downtown to the theatre and arts district (for $1.50 a ride) without the hassle of trying to park. It runs every fifteen minutes. (http://ridegrtc.com/brt/)

Brewery culture!

Richmond is known for its craft breweries. My favorites may not be yours (for beer) as I tend toward the old school ESBs--not the goses or sours or IPAs. For a cool, intimate vibe, though, check out Final Gravity (North Side) and Isley Brewing in Scott's Addition. Hardywood and Legend are the "big boys," and both frequently feature entertainment. Check out all the RVA breweries. There are loads of them.
