We love this place especially on a sunny day. Great food & ales. Open fires & beams. Lovely views of the river & Derwent valley & a picturesque place to start/end a walk by a ruined abbey.

Best tasting and best value food we have tasted around here. The chefs meals are always changing, slightly unusual sometimes and last time we went only cost £8.50 for a main. Dog friendly pub too.
