Great coffee, excellent lunch food (sandwiches and soup) in a charming cafe. Sadly they are not open on weekends but if you're here on weekdays you can hang with the locals at PacGrind!

This was our first favorite Mexican place in town. Now it's either La Roca or Enrique's at NW 15th, both serving authentic food. Fast service and very tasty.

Artisan food and drinks with wood-fired pizza, in a tiny bistro that makes you feel like you've discovered a secret. Owners live in our neighborhood and source the highest quality ingredients.

Parks & Nature

A great bayfront beach that connects to the oceanfront beach. The classic family place to spend a whole day, since it tends to be sheltered from the north wind in summer and the bay is safer water to wade in. Good crabbing, clamming and fishing from the beach makes for excellent people watching, and this is also where the big fireworks display happens on July 4. And if you get hungry, the famous Mo's clam chowder is handy.

This is our closest beach access. Just head west on E. Devils Lake Rd, cross the highway and keep going west on 12th until you make it to the beach. A steep downhill road but it's a great spot. You might see surfers heading out to the famous Nelscott Reef. There's a public bathroom with outside shower to wash off the sand when you're done playing!

Arts & Culture

It's our "town square" where the farmer's market happens on Sundays, constant live music events and art gallery openings happen here. There are artists who make their work in the building, and a yoga studio if you need a tune-up. Go here first to find out where to go next!

Sightseeing

On summer days that are windy, head to Taft. This beach wraps around to the south along Siletz Bay and is sheltered from north winds! There you'll see people crabbing, making driftwood forts, kids swimming, harbor seals, and more. It's a wonderful place to spend half a day and if the wind dies down you can walk around to the ocean side.

A great place to fly kites and watch kite surfers, look for agates and when the tide is below zero (minus tides) be sure to check out the tidepools! Sometimes you can see everything from sea stars to anemones, to urchin and mussels. Part of the Cascade Head Biosphere Reserve.
