Third Space is a not for profit organisation that offers great food and coffee to locals and visitors alike. It is great supporter and platform for many local community projects. This is definitely one of my favourite places for coffee in the city and I have never experienced such genuinely friendly staff who remember your order and your face!

The General Post Office (GPO), the site of the headquarters during the Easter Rising of 1916, is still the headquarters of the Irish Post Office (An Post). Padraig Pearse famously read the Irish Declaration of Independence on the steps of the GPO before taking the building as the headquarters during the Easter Rising and bullet holes are still visible in the columns of the GPO.

Arts & Culture

This is my No 1 tourist attraction in Dublin! At only €6 entry and just €2 for students with a student card, it is excellent value and the OPW can be very proud of this guided tour of a major historical site. On-line booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. You will learn about social and political history from experienced and interesting tour guides! I recommend giving them a small tip as this is such good value and they really do a marvelous job. If you are visiting Dublin and Ireland and plan to visit a few of the OPW sites a Heritage Card is a good purchase at just €25 which then gives free entry to ALL OPW sites in Ireland including Dublin Castle, Kilmainham Gaol & Newgrange.
