Lovely garden not very far away, in Cwm Gwaun. Dillwyn and Suzanne have created a delightful garden with fabulous views -- and the tea room has an excellent reputation.

You have to climb to the top of Carningli, our local mountain and "Mount of Angels." The setting for the books of the Angel Mountain Saga. Just 30 mins from Trefelin to the top of the mountain, if you are reasonably fit......

Our local "magic valley" -- deep and spectacular, and in places more like a gorge. A windy narrow road, so don't drive along it if you are in a hurry! Many traditions of supernatural happenings.....

Our local mountain range! Not very high, but very beautiful, windswept, treeless and craggy. Sheep and horses roam freely. Prehistoric features all over the place. But take care -- the weather can change quickly, and if you are not well prepared there is always a danger of exposure.

A strange little village on the south side of Mynydd Preseli, dominated by the old slate quarries. There is a lovely "quarryman's row" of cottages, and a community owned and very quirky "Tafarn Sinc" -- one of the few corrugated iron hostelries still in use.

This is a pretty village out in the wilderness of the Preseli Hills. Stupendous views of the craggy uplands, a famous memorial to the poet Waldo Williams, and a little chapel faced with the famous "spotted dolerite" bluestone. In the charchyard is the grave of "Twm Carnabwth" -- one of the early leaders in the Rebecca Riots around 1844.
