Food Scene
Risubon Crape is popular pastry shop and café in Kuroishi. Risubon has variety selection of crapes that price rage from approximately 350 to 450 yen. Chocolate banana, Ichigo pai (strawberry pie crust inside) are their most popular crapes. I like Marron (chestnuts). Inside the store, tell them what you want and wait 5 min. They cook crape skin right away. There is a small table & chairs so you can sit and eat.

The village office looks like traditional Japanese castle, and the top floor is observing floor that you can view famous Tambo art by the building. You buy ticket (approx. 200 yen) and take elevator to the top. Personally, this is the best Tambo Art you can imagine. Strongly recommended.

Iwaki Mountain is called Tsugaru Fuji. You can park your car at the parking, and crime to the top. Visiting Iwaki Shrine, free Ashiyu spot (hot springs for your foot) at Hyakuzawa, plenty of hot springs. You see many vegetable stands selling local sweet corn that some you can ear raw. This regions corn is very famous.

Fukuya-spa. It is very nice hot spring place. You can take train from Kuroishi, get off at Kashiwa HS. 6 min walk to the spa. 420yen for hot spring. If you go there before 8 am, 300 yen. Open 0500-2200. At the Kuroishi station, you can buy 1000 yen ticket, including round trip train and hot spring.
$1500 ticket includes towel, shampoo, uniforms that you can ware inside. You can stay there for lunch, reluxing all day if you want.
They have plenty of baths inside. Outside bath is soothing you to get lid of stress. Water is clear color and makes your skin very smooth.
Onsen Etiquet: Wash your body completely clean, the enter the big tub. No towel inside.

You can take a bus from Kuroishi Station, and takes 20 minutes.

鶴泉-79 温湯Kuroshi is rustic hot spring town that there are several hot spring areas outside the city. It has more than 400 year old history. There are 6 hot spring hotels gather near vicinity.
Tusuruno-yu (crane hot spring) is public bath, 200 yen. "鶴の名湯" in Japanese. Huge Kokeshi-doll stands in front of the building. Temprature is hot. Clear water. Taking bath makes continuously maintaining warm body, thus elderly people prefers here.
The local legend says that a crane with broken leg flown to the area 400 years ago. Hot water here cured crane's leg, and she was able to fly again 7 days later.

It smells like surfer. After soaking your body for 10 minutes, dead skin comes off a lot from your body. You can sleep well that night. I have to warn you that their facility is very old and a few showers, but awesome quality hot spring water. 350 yen.

Depending on the day, water changes its colors from light to darker green. It smells like surfer. After soaking your body for 10 minutes, dead skin comes off a lot from your body. You can sleep well that night. I have to warn you that their facility is very old and a few showers, but awesome quality hot spring water. 350 yen.
