This restaurant is located in the old monastery on the island of Lokrum. Their food and service are excellent, but prices are above average. The place is magical, and the garden so beautiful. Definitely a place to recommend.

If you like sea food, don't waste your time and money on fancy but not so fresh and very expensive dishes in the touristic centres. Go to Ston, this place is amazing, and is a great value for money. Their food is so delicious, you will definitely come back. This is where we go for a treat when we have a special occasion. ;)

Parks & Nature
This is one of my favorite places: there is a botanical garden, an old fortress, nice places to eat and small beaches to go to. It is great for hiking too, but can be pretty busy in the summer.

We live on one of the Elaphite islands called Šipan. Those are great places to visit: there is so much history, natural beauty, spots for swimming, nice hiking paths and stunning views to enjoy.

The oldest arboretum in Europe, built in the late 15th century. This is a beautiful garden with fountains, very cool and shady in the summer, easy to get there by public transport.

Arts & Culture
The Dubrovnik summer festival offers so many events (theatre, music, cinema etc.), most of them held in the old city. They have great stuff to offer, I have been on some concerts. The piano recital of Ivo Pogorelic in the old Knezev Dvor last year was amazing, and this year Dee Dee Bridgewater is coming to town (check their schedule for July, 2018).
