Kokanee Creek Provincial Park is located along the shoreline of Kootenay Lake and has large sandy beaches , hiking trails through mature cedars , firs , pines and marsh areas as well where you can enjoy nature . This park has Kokanee spawning in the fall , an information Center , a play ground for children and is only a 10 minute drive from this suite .

The SS Moyie is a totally restored paddle wheeler with an info Center that reflects the transportation and history of pioneer days at the turn of the century. You can also see the Japanese Museum that reflects the internment of the Japanese during world war 2 . There are other museums to see as well in this quaint little mountain village.
