Mohawk Lake is only 12 minutes away and has a few shops and restaurants and bars. Good places to eat there include an Italian restaurant called 'il Porto', and 'Krough's'. Both have great food and a beautiful view of the lake.

This area has a lot to offer overall, Alice's is one of three good restaurants on the lake here. It has the highest view of Lake Hopatcong out of the other restaurants and is a little more upscale but still very delicious and perfect for a date night.
