One of our original local favorites... Gifts, collectibles, cards, postcards, tea & herbs, best coffee in town (coffee beans and Lattes); cafe in back has great cafe lattes, tea, sandwiches and soups, coffee-cake and bagels —pro-tip: try the coffee soda with a shot of espresso on top. Important to note: the service in back is local slow. Friendly for sure, but not fast paced. Order at counter, then sit down and visit— your order will take a while (so, if your in a hurry try another spot). ☀️

Nice place to include in a walk down town . On the Clark-fork River . Nice grassy park to picnic or hang out and watch the surfers and kayakers on Brennan’s wave. Many great events and festivals at the big tent during spring, summer, and fall. Farmers market in Saturday’s with great local food, including fish from Alaska (Taste of Alaska). 125 miles north of Missoula—but so worth the trip if your from out of town. Stay an extra day and plan a trip to Glacier. Beautiful day hikes. Pro Tip: pack a nice lunch with some water in your daypack and take the Bus shuttle—From Apgar area-(free parking/free shuttle!) up the “Going to the Sun Road” (get a window seat on RIGHT going up—-LEFT coming down). Check out the gift shop at the top/buy a trail map (and a hat); then take a day hike from there... catch shuttle back down at end of day. Your park entrance fee ($25 in summer) goes to a great cause: maintaining our National Parks... (support our national parks and wild lands!).

Many beautiful and unique gifts.. from around the world. Profits support the efforts of the JR peace center. Beautiful things to buy and share: affordable prices background note: Jeannette Rankin was a Missoulian and the first woman elected to the U.S. Congress (at a time when many women across the country could not yet vote); she helped pass the 19th amendment—ensuring women the right to vote. She stood alone on the Congress floor- refusing to vote for war (both WW1 & WW2)
