Food scene
This is a mid-range restaurant right in Sunset that has become very popular. You will pay $25-30 for fresh local fish, but the food is great and it draws customers from Lafayette. A bit fancier fare than other more traditional cajun restaurants, but homegrown Sunset!

An off-the-beaten-path fried chicken place on the northside of Lafayette. A testament to its quality is that it has stayed in business with locals even though there is a Popeye's a few blocks away.

Local brewery in a small cajun town called Arnaudville. The famous Bayou Teche runs through the town and is the namesake for the brewery.
