Pray, MT. Old school dinner dining and brunch with good food. They grow many of their own vegetables in their greenhouse. The hot springs is a must! I still buy stuff in the cool gift shop. (Closed to non-guests for hot springs during pandemic, but the restaurant is open.)

Paradise Valley, MT. This has the best farm to table food and a magical setting over the Yellowstone River looking at the Absaroka Mountains. Great service and wine selection. Make sure to get reservations in advance and sit outside. You can go early and have wine around the fire pit.

This is the place to rent paddle boards or rafts and head down the Yellowstone River in warm weather. Be sure to pick a mellow route. There is also a service to shuttle your car to the takeout. So fun!

Moderate one mile in and one mile out hike. Easy access, kids and old people like this trail. Very popular. If you want to continue it can be a 5 mile ascent to the top to lakes. Afterwards, stop at Pine Creek Lodge for a local beer or homemade ice cream.

This is a rigorous hiking trail across from the Music Ranch on the hill. Just 4 miles away from the cottage. As you ascend you have great views of the Absaroka Mountains.

Take the back way to Bozeman instead of the interstate. More beautiful coming from Bozeman to Strickland Creek Road. All gravel and can be adventurously dusty. Beautiful.
