Sightseeing
A State park located a couple miles from the site. For hikers, there is a trail head that will get you started on your way to the top of Mt. Kearsarge (a moderate hike) where you get a spectacular view of the valley. At the base camp, there are picnic tables, BBQ pits, and a playground. It's a wonderful place for an outing.

A State park located a couple miles from the site. For hikers, there is a trail head that will get you started on your way to the top of Mt. Kearsarge (a moderate hike) where you get a spectacular view of the valley. At the base camp, there are picnic tables, BBQ pits, and a playground. It's a wonderful place for an outing.
The Northern Rail Trail is a great walking/biking path converted from the old railway line that wound through Central New Hampshire. It is a great way to get some exercise and take in the local scenery. In the winter, it is used as a snow mobile trail. It is free of charge and maintained by volunteers. The entrance at Potter Place is located less than 2 miles from the site.

The Barn Playhouse has been offering high quality performances for many years. People travel from all over to see the plays they offer. They only operate in the summer and you need to purchase tickets ahead of time as their performances do sell out.
