Shelter from the rain and discover fascinating sights at Castleton’s remarkable caverns (as long as they are not flooded!). Choose from Peak Cavern (the largest natural cave entrance in Europe); Speedwell Cavern (where you can travel to the Bottomless Pit by boat) and Treak Cliff Cavern and Blue John Cavern, which contain Blue John stone. Afterwards, take cover by browsing Castleton Visitor Centre and visit some of the excellent local shops, perhaps to purchase a Blue John souvenir to take home.
