Food and Drink Ellijay Woodfired Pizza: great Neapolitan-style pizza with all fresh ingredients, a lot them from local farms The Shack: flavorful Thai curry bowls and poke bowls, friendly staff Ellijay Coffeehouse: 90’s style coffee shop which feels like the show Friends if it were in the mountains, great for breakfast sandwiches and coffee. River Street Tavern: lively bar and restaurant with an impressive list of craft beer and burgers made from locally sourced beef. Cartecay River Brewing: the first and only brewery in Ellijay, has a welcoming vibe to it, great staff, and live music outside on the patio during the weekends. Cartecay Wine and Craft: great place to enjoy a flight of wine while looking out onto the town square There are a variety of vineyards and apple houses near Ellijay as well for a nice day trip. I haven’t visited them to give a personal recommendation, but there are plenty of great review resources online to choose from.
