Food Scene
Overlooking the beach this restaurant is open year round and serves delicious food at reasonable prices. Friendly service and a great atmosphere make it a great place to eat in summer or winter and it has fantastic views across the Meditteranean. Located in Las Chapas on the beach, the chiringuito is very popular with both tourists and locals and in the summer it can be hard to get a table but you can always grab a drink while you wait. We recommend the grilled sole or the half a chicken and chips alongside a nice bottle of chilled white wine!

The restaurant has been designed by artitect Jean Porsche and has 6 different design concepts. Inspired by France, the color of burgundy is apparent in each room, reinventing the Maison concept by using geometric shapes and structures. Each piece of furniture plays an integral part to compliment a magnificent ambiance for family and friends.

Simbad Restaurant and Beach Bar is located to the East of Marbella in Las Chapas and enjoys amazing views, quality food and a relaxed beach chic vibe. Their menu offers all the classics that you would expect in a Marbella Beach Restaurant or 'Chiringuito' such as Sardines, Fried Calamari, White Bait, Spicy Prawn Pil-Pil etc but also features some more International dishes too. It's a good option with children as this part of the beach is sandy and enjoys shallow waters and they also provide a great location for larger events and parties.

Trocadero Arena is located in Río Real on one of the best beaches in Marbella. You can spend the day at the beach club lounging on their beautiful square sunbeds with a delicious cocktail or glass of champagne in hand or alternatively just come to the restaurant to enjoy the sumptuous cuisine for lunch or dinner. The restaurant has beautiful sea views and there is a large lounge and bar area with exotic African, colonial style decor but very comforable seating to relax and chill with friends before and after your meal. They also have free WIFI so it is the perfect venue for a business meeting too. The menu is definitely Mediterranean inspired however there is a clear hint of the orient in several dishes-a beautiful fusion leaving you wanting to come back to this fab beachside venue time and time again. They serve a different lunch and dinner menu and also have snacks available throughout the daytime. It really is quite a special place and somewhere that you will be able to enjoy all year round.

Gastronomía
This typical Spanish seafood restaurant has great views of the beach and an open terrace. Los Sardinales offers great food in a relaxed environment and is child-friendly. Located on the beach right by the Los Monteros Hotel, Los Sardinales offers great fish, shellfish, meats, rice dishes and other typically Spanish dishes that are simply prepared with bags of flavour. There is ample place at the restaurant with tables both inside and out on the terrace and you can lay back on a sun lounger during the day in between grabbing a drink and some delicious dishes. Its a great venue to go with the kids as they can play on the sand while you enjoy a tipple of something cold.

The name it is self-explicative: "conmpassion" - even in Italian means "with passion". It is true they are cooking & and doing this job with passion and results are tangibles. We took a couple of appetitizers and one shared main plate (all fish cooked in a very good manner) with wine (even this good choice) for an overall price lower than 50€. Good atmosphere/location, great food and good service for a very valuable experience.

Adventura Amazonia is a new concept in entertainment and adventure in Marbella offering a great amount of fun in the safest environment. Ideal for large groups to have fun either as a corporate event or perhaps as a stag and hen party activity or for a family to have a great day out altogether. The made to measure, open air park has five courses specially adapted for both adults and children of any ability. There are 5 other parks all over Spain and Marbella is the very latest one. With fully trained hands and high quality equipment you are in safe hands. Children from 6 years old can join in the fun and we saw groups of varied ages taking on the course at their own speed - it really is suitable for the whole family. The opening hours are generally from 10am-7pm slightly later perhaps in the summer. You could easily spend the whole day at Aventura Amazonia or alternatively you could come just for a few hours in the morning or afternoon depending on how energetic you feel! There are some great park tables and benches to relax and get your breath in between the different elements of the course or perhaps to have a bite to eat and a drink. Highly recommended for all the family and a real challenge for even the most physically fit!

Bioparc Fuengirola has been around for a while. Originally built as a Zoo in the 1970's, it was not a pleasant place for the animals. In 1998, Rain Forest took over the zoo and set out to completely redesign and expand the zoo aiming to create the latest “full-immersion zoo” concept recreating the tropical forests of Madagascar, Equatorial Africa and Southeast Asia. The new Fuengirola Zoo was opened in 2001 and set new standards for other zoos in Europe to follow. It is now called the Bioparc Fuengirola and the living standards for animals are very high. The Bioparc is now flourishing, with over 140 species represented, and a total of over 1,300 individual animals, seemingly happy in their newly created environments. The variety of animals is huge including birds, mammals including the gorilla, hippopotamus, leopard and tiger, reptiles including the crocodile and python and fish species. The Biopark aims not only to fascinate but also to teach and provides educational tours for adults and children. There is of course a restaurant on site and a huge playground next door to keep the young ones entertained. Also in the months of July and August, the Bioparc stays open till midnight allowing people to explore the park and its residents at night time, the perfect way to end an evening.

The Artola Dunes were declared a Natural Monument in 2003 because of their significant natural value with an intact ecosystem and varied biodiversity. This dune environment is 20,000 m² and even today testifies to how the natural coastline of Marbella looked not many years ago. This privileged region has three types of dunes. At the beachfront the dunes are mobile and because of their rippled surfaces can easily be spotted. The second line forms a natural barrier with inactive but mobile dunes, covered with shrub vegetation and by indigenous flora of great interest. Farthest from the sea are inactive, fossil dunes, with a narrow band of dense Stone Pine (Pinus pinea) as well as common shrubs such as Juniper (Juniperus sabina supsc. turbinata), Mastic (Pistacia lentiscus) and wild Olive tree (Olea europaea), typical species in the Mediterranean area which provide shelter and food for birds and small animals as well as for the typical Mediterranean scrub. The interesting dune vegetation includes specific dune species such as European Beachgrass (Ammophilia arenaria) and Sea Holly (Eryngium maritimum). There are clumps of Bitter Chamomile (Helichrysum stoechas) and a myriad of wild flora which varies from season to season. The Sea Daffodil (Pancratium maritimum) blooms in all its glory between the most dry months: July and September. Pedestrian walkways guarantee the total protection of the area, protecting it from constant trampling by members of the public thus allowing the natural development of the native flora. The tower known as La Torre de los Ladrones at the edge of Cabopino Harbour is 16 m high and was formally used as a military watchtower. Its origin seems to date back to Roman times and it was rebuilt over the centuries by both Arabs and Christians. This beacon has been declared of Cultural Interest and is kept in good condition.

With modern shops, restaurants and bars bordering one side of the central orange tree-lined promenade and exclusive yachts flanking the other, Muelle Uno is not your average shopping complex. The waterfront open-air mall offers a contemporary shopping and dining experience by the sea, with stunning views of La Alcazaba to remind you of the city's Moorish past. As the name suggests, the recently redeveloped Muelle Uno area ('Quay One' in English) is located in Malaga Port. After 13 years of planning and negotiations, an 80-million-euro budget, and with over 400 new jobs created, Muelle Uno was officially inaugurated at the end of November 2011.

They also ship their products throughout Europe so if you find something you love but don't live here locally then you can easily arrange for it to be sent to you back home. They offer wine tasting classes as well as a fascinating introduction to the world of Olive Oil which are a great group activity or something that you could easily do as a couple too.

Things to do in Marbella
Marbella is a town that offers a wide range of activities to keep you occupied, active or entertained for 365 days a year. Whilst lounging in the sun at one of our many beautiful Beach Clubs maybe the top of your things to do list whilst here there are several alternatives depending on whether relaxation or adventure is the priority of the day! Watersports are often a favourite pass time here in Marbella with days at sea on a Luxury Yacht Charter or an hour of fun on a jet ski or fly board being some of the most popular options. Larger groups of friends and families can easily arrange a boat party on board one of the private catamarans available to hire or a romantic sunset sail maybe what you are looking for to impress that special someone! I have listed in this Things to do in Marbella a great selection of activities to help you plan in some adrenaline and adventure or to experience and learn more about the real Marbella during your trip. If you are travelling with children then you can also find a selection of activities individually selected as suitable for families. Take a Buggy Tour and explore the inland area of Marbella, play Padel or Tennis at one of the clubs that are open to the public, enjoy a Cocktail master class, race cars at the private Formula 1 Ascari race track in Ronda, go for a Tapas tour around Marbella Old town, take a day trip to local surrounding cities and towns such as Granada or Seville, Horse ride in the hills and through the rivers or even try your luck at the casino.
