Situated in the beautiful Umhlanga Rocks on the KZN East coast. Stretching in to the Indian Ocean. Safe and secure parking in close proximity. Walking distance from the Umhlanga CBD and all the hotels on the beautiful Umhlanga prominade. Absolutely beautiful in the mornings with sunrise. Great opportunity for photos. The pier is particularly attractive at night as it is beautifully lit. It is pleasant to be able to walk out over the waves, especially in the evening. The mosaics set into the pavement are particularly pretty. This pier is such a draw card because it is so unusual. Guests will feel safe. Espresso, sea food, musician outside a cafe, beautiful Whalebone Pier.

Early morning walks can be enjoyed along this clean and well maintained promenade where coffee is available on the go. Guest can enjoy a Pineapple stick dipped in cinnamon and sugar then take a stroll along, in and around the promenade. The beautifully paved walkway itself is lined on either side by stunning coastal fauna , flora and some of Umhlanga's iconic hotels, buildings and structures. Some beautiful exotic and unusual plants and trees to see there. Lots of benches to sit and relax on. A couple of refreshment stations.
