If you're up for some good fish and a very traditional East London spot. This place has been there for over 40 years, may not look great from the outside but the quality of the food makes up for it!

The Prospect of Whitby is a historic public house on the banks of the Thames at Wapping , which is a lovely bike ride from our home. It lays claim to being the site of the oldest riverside tavern, dating from around 1520, and has lots of interesting facts and photos inside. A must visit on a nice day out, and perfect to start a walk along the river.

There are also 3 restaurants.
Make sure you book in advance if going before 6pm everyday, and don't wear white shoes/trainers as they won't let you in!

Very much off the beaten track, one of our favourite 'secret' spots nearby. Come here to taste some great gin or vodka brewed in house in there distillery, and can accompany with some tasty pizza.
They organise tours and tastings as well if you're into that.
