Food Scene
a list of nice local places to eat and drink. There are a trillion places on your doorstep, but only a few really nice ones…
Tapping the Admiral: A quiet local pub...yes, even in Camden it is possible to find a quiet sit down local pub. Not many hipsters here..middle aged friendly crowd. They serve pub food, burgers, pies etc. Quite a nice place to escape to. Its off the beaten track but three minutes walk away.
Tapping the admiral 77 Castle Rd, London NW1 8SU
Fish and chips - poppies. Pretty good place to sit down for Fish and Chips. Quite a few tourists here but its a fun place to go.
1) Best take-away coffee and morning crepe
Theres a place called ’The Little One’ in Primrose Hill, in the main parade of shops on Regents Park Road. Its next to a place called ’The Cowshed. They do really nice crepes…have one of their ‘green crepes’. And a coffee. Its takeaway only although theres a couple of benches outside, so good for when strolling.
Best sit down breakfast.
Head for Greenberry, also in Regents Park Rd. They do the best english breakfast / Bruch menu. High quality and good atmosphere. They are very busy on Sunday mornings so its worth booking.
Nice Gastropub
The Lansdowne in Primrose Hill is a good bar, filled with rustic tables and serving good wholesome food. They do pizzas too. You can’t book…mid thirties crowd. You can get to it quickest by walking along the canal...just near the street food market theres an entrance to the canal towpath. Walk along until you get to a metal staircase with signs to primrose hill...(four mins walk)...Then walk along Gloucester Ave and you'll find it. Don't walk on the canal towpath at night-time. Ive not know anything nasty to happen to anybody but I still wouldn't encourage it in the dark. It is perfectly safe (always lots of people around) during the day and evening.
