Skaket Beach is Orleans' bay beach. It is smaller than Nauset, and kids tend to enjoy it more for it's calm, shallow water. It's the perfect place for building sandcastles or catching hermit crabs. Be sure to check the tides before going. At high tide, the water is great for relaxing in an inflatable tube, but at low tide, you are able to walk for miles.

Catch an Orleans Firebirds game at the field just down the street from the house. Bring a towel or beach chair since the bleacher seating is limited. Games are free and a lot of fun for kids or baseball fans who want to see up-and-coming players in the Cape Cod Baseball League.
