Creuse – Is just over an hour drive and boasts beautiful, wild and unspoiled nature. Peaceful landscapes of bucolic hills, lakes and beautiful forests crossed by hiking trails, as well as a rich architectural and artistic heritage and the famous Aubusson tapestry.

Limoges is the capital city of the Limousin, with its museums, porcelain shops and factories, aquarium, botanical garden, the famous historical town ‘rue de la boucherie, with the picturesque Butchery quarters! Where one of the 52 butchery houses built in the early 13th century still stands today. Although, nowadays it is an eco-museum about the daily lives of Limoges's butchers' families.

Le Dorat – is a 15-minute drive. The small town of Le-Dorat is still partly surrounded by a section of its original 15th century defensive walls. You can also see attractive gardens in terraces. You can enter the town through the Porte Bergere, a substantial gateway through the walls that is between two towers to the west of the town. However, it is the Collegiale Church of Saint-Pierre that most people visit Le Dorat for. Pierre has a fortified gate unique to the Limousin region. It has a factory outlet for Limoges porcelain where bargains and exquisite pieces can be found. There is also a wide range of shops, bars, restaurants superstores and a weekly market.

At the heart of an unspoiled, natural site, this 330-hectare artificial lake is an ideal place for countryside activities. 92 hectares are reserved for relaxing and activities (sailing, pedalos, canoeing…), 88 hectares for motor watersports and 50 hectares for fishing - enough to satisfy all desires and all pleasures for children and adults alike! There is also an Acrobatic Park in the forest and for thrill seekers and lovers of strong sensations from 3 years of age there are 6 trails with the highlights being: a forest snowboard, an aerial bike and a giant zipline.
