Driving by, you would totally miss this place and that would be a shame. All you see is the parking lot on the corner. But walk through the parking lot, through the carved wooden doors, and you enter a magical garden with a giant tree providing shade to the diners. The food is fantastic - one of the best brunch spots in the city. Great bar selections.

No trip to LA is complete without a visit to downtown LA. And Redbird is one of my favorite restaurants downtown. Gorgeous space. Tasty food, and less expensive than you would think. They also give you an amuse booze rather than an amuse bouche to start your meal!
