This is a great place to eat and watch the beach life. Sit on the patio and watch the sea guls, dolphis and pelicans. The skillet is an awesome and hardy breakfast. The wait staff are a little different and this is definitely a tourist destination but the skillet and view are worth it.

Bridges to Anna Maria Island busy on weekends and holidays
If possible avoid the two roads onto AMI weekends and holidays. If possible, enjoy AMI Monday - Thurs.
If you must go on weekends or holidays, try to drive onto the island between 10 am and 2pm. Also Try to avoid the 4-6 PM exodus off the island, specifically leaving the north end of the island. Also both bridges are draw bridges which go up about every 20 min and traffic get's backed up. so I guess just plan to be on island time!
But if you don't follow any of this advice, just try to enjoy the views which are nice even if you are stuck in traffic or waiting for the drawbridge :)
