Unless they have run out of items, they will have a delicious assortment of pastries, breads, and desserts. They do not have the capacity for big crowds, but plenty of folks go there.

The Santa Fe Chicken Enchiladas are big as your face. This Chuy's has a 50's and Elvis theme. You'll not be bored staring at the decorations hanging everywhere. It's a popular venue but doable if you can avoid 6-7pm Fri and Saturdays. Lots of folks walk from Barton Springs Pool to Chuy's, then sink in the water afterward. Like stones. (Kidding)

Pay a $10 cover for the foundation underlying this homegrown solar radio station. On touristy South Congress Ave., try to avoid Saturday and Sunday shopping crowds.

Buy your cowboy boots, find an armadillo purse, eat pizza, hear some great music at the Continental Club, eat ice cream, and have your group's photo taken at the side of Jo's Coffee, at the "I love you SO much" mural. Allow several hours for the thrift shops and bars. You can walk to here from our guest room, but I wouldn't do it in hot weather, which can be any day.

It has changing exhibits that give you insight into the iconic President from Central Texas. If you have time and a car, drive the hour or so west to Johnson City and the LBJ National Historic Park, ride a park van onto the LBJ ranch and watch the cowboys do their thing.

Surely you are at our AirBnB because of Barton Springs? This spring-fed pool is fresh and wonderful year-round. The water temperature from the underground aquifer is a constant 68º. You can swim 1/8-mile in one length, so get your laps in. Swim with fishes and water birds and show off on the diving board. It is a constant joy for us and the soul of our City. Opens 5am-8am with no admission and again after 9pm. During the daytime the entrance fees vary, but from November-March 1 it is free all day.
