Our shop is downstairs from the guesthouse and is open 5 days a week. We carry over 200 wines - you can taste the entire Somlo region in one sitting and also compare it with other volcanic regions. On weekends we often organise private wine-dinners and themed tastings. Ask your host about our upcoming events.

All of these hills are also home to famous vineyards, producing very similar, but slightly milder volcanic wines than Somló. 40 minutes drive to the closest North-shore village.
Large forests, remote tiny villages and a unique Star-gazing facility, established here because there is hardly any light-pollution up amongst these ancient hills, called collectively as Bakony.

Visit the "little brother" of Somlo - a smaller volcanic hill, Sag, where the hard basalt top was quarried off in the beginning of the XXth century. Rocks from Sag-hill were used to build rail-tracks around the country and now the large gap inside its crater hosts Hungary's most unique volcanic-geological hiking trail. The interactive Volcano-museum at the foot of the hill is open in season only - check online for availability.
