This is a restaurant in a cenote. You will not find this anywhere else in the world. You are basically dining inside of a beautiful cave. The food is not the best in town, but at least go for drinks and maybe an appetizer.

Pay with credit card when you can...
You will get the best exchange rate. Get a bit of cash from the ATM but do not use the ATM's on 5th Ave. They charge extra fees, us bank ATM's like Scotiabank, HSBC, Citibank

Bring less than you think you need
Playa is super casual....and 5th Ave is made with interlocking bricks...so leave the high heels at home. Bathing suits and casual coverups and maybe one decent outfit are all you need.
Déplacements
Best to walk if you can
Everything is within walking distance from any of our condos. Parking is a bit of a nightmare, so best to walk. Renting a car is good for a day trip but you will not use a car for everyday activities. Cabs are cheap too ...
Coutumes et culture
Tipping is 10%
Everyone will be asking for a tip....don't feel obligated. If you are taking a tour and want to tip, no more than 10% is fine.
Restaurants 10% is customary.
